Kitchen: “Shelf up” any wall winder than 12 inches. Hang the top shelf as high as possible and the others equi-distant. A commercial style pot rack is a win win as it saves space, makes all your kitchen gear accessiable and looks very much restaurant chic.

Bedroom: Put a bench at the foot of the bed. If your bench doesn’t have storage under the top, stack lidded baskets on the floor below it. A nightstand with open sides and multiple shelves is the best option for maximum storage and flexibility. The design will also work well in a living room.

Living room: Opt for floor-to-ceiling shelving systems rather than freestanding bookcases. Not only will they hold more, they also sit closer to the wall so they take up less floor space. A coffee table with a shelf or two doubles the avaialbe space for books, magazines, games and other items.
Entryway: Fake a foyer by stationing a console table or a waist high shelf unit next to the door, top it off by hanging a mirror as well as hooks for bags, jackets and keys. Make the back of the door into a display for kids art work or photos.
Bathroom: Hotels do it, why don’t you? Hang a shallow glass shelf just above your sink and a towel rack in or near the shower. A tray of pretty toiletries on the toilet tank makes a bathroom more personal and luxurious…not to mention – it’s just plain handy!
